Sayagaki: 21th NBTHK Juyo blade Hasebe Kuninobu.
blade length about 27cm. by Mr. Tanobe at November 2011.
Ubu-Nakago, there are 5 kanji signature. Nice Notare-Ha, long Mineyaki and Yubashiri, Tobiyaki, Hitatsura. Boshi large around shape. This blade is representative masterpiece of his blade. This engraving is also precious.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Solid Gold Double Foiled Habaki
Blade length : 27.2cm or 10.70 inches.
Sori : 0.3cm or 0.11 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.7cm or 1.06 inches.
Kasane : 0.51cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : It is wide and thick, mitsumune style sunnobi tanto with some sori.
Jitetsu :Itame hada with masame hada around the katana and mune.
Hamon : Ko notare gunome midare with sunagashi with Nie.
It is hitatsura style with much tobiyaki.
Nakago: Ubu, Kurijiri. There is some yasurime. Nakago is rather short.
Special feature : Hasebe Kuninobu was successful in Yamashiro province Kyoto
at Nanbokucho peirod and this katana is qualified as one of 21st Juyo Token Piece.

Kuninobu was a younger brother of the Hasebe Kunishige who was a one of the Hasebe 10tetsu.
They made Tanto mainly and few Katana were made during these days.
This blade is wide and nice Sun-Nobi Tanto style. This blade is typical of Nanbokucho period.
This blade has rare engraving. And also this Nakago is in good condition. The signature is clear.

Tsuba :On the oval shape syakudo plate, leaves are engraved.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved.
Kurikata:On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Menuki : a shish dog is engraved by syakudo plate.
Kozuka:On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved.
Kozuka:On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved.
Kogatana: Jumyo.
