Special feature: As the personal metal work group for the shogunate, the Bushu Ito school successfully made several tsubas that is handed down to the modern days. This piece is made by Masanao, one of the metal workers of Bushu Ito school who was active during mid Edo period. This tsuba is engraved in open work of Shippo mon pattern. Shippo stands for the seven Buddhist treasure which is said to be gold, silver, lapis lazuli、crystal, clam, coral, agate however this treasure could be changed by sutra. It is beautiful pattern tsuba.
