Special feature : On the round iron sukashi-tsuba, three eggplants is engraved in sukidebori. Part of the body of eggplants is inlayed with shakudo.
Mimi is inlayed with gold in cloth pattern.
Masatsune was one of a representative metalsmith of Ito School in Bushu province.
Many metalsmiths came to learn from another feudal domains and the workmanship diffused to Choshu, Satsuma and Suruga.
He was longevity metal worker. There are pieces that he made when he was 81 years old.
