Jidai(era) : Late Edo Period to early Meiji Period.
Special feature: On oval shape iron tsuba, a peaceful spring Yoshino river scenery is and is engraved. Back is Autumn Tatsuta river and maple scenery.
Ikken was born in Tensaku 3rd year(1832) and was active from late Edo to Meiji period. He was active during the era of significant change so there is not many works. However, he was a very skillful metal worker.
This piece proves that he was a skillfull metal worker. The design of the Yoshinogawa and Tatsutagawa scenery is engraved in details.
