This Wakizashi belongs to Jojo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 34.8 cm or 13.70 inches.
Sori : 0.2 cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.78 cm or 1.09 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Rather wide and thick blade. Sunnobi Tanto style.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with mixture
of Mokume hada. Jinie is attached.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Choji Midare mix.
Deep Nioikuchi and soft Habuchi. In Ha, there are many Ashi.
Special feature : At first glance it is similar to nice Sukesada.
But unfortunately this signature is not genuine.
The Jigane is well grained and there are no Utsuri.
We think that this blade was made around late Edo period.
It looks like Gassan Sadayoshi. This is nice works.
