The blade was polished.
Habaki:Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 48.63 cm or 19.14 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.70 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.78 cm or 0.70 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Edo oeriod Meireki era.
Shape : The blade is rather slender with sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare,cyoji midare and also crab nails Inside of the Hamon, there are many ash and sunagashi work.
Special feature : This sword has Zokumyo signature and Nengo mentioned on the back of the nakago.
The Hamon is typical sukesada hamon like Kaninotume(crab's nail) and many sunagashi in Ha.
After Muromachi period Bizen school lose their vigor and a few bizen sword makers are working because of peaceful age.
Sichibei sukesada, Kozuke daijyo sukesada, Yamato daijyo sukesada and also Sozaemon Jyo sukesada are main sword makers in Bizen school.
Sozaemon Sukesada is well known sword maker at that period which looks like koto bizen school.
The blade is very good work and also uramei(back side era) are precious.
Back graound of age : 1657 Meireki 3rd big fire occurred which is called Meireki no Taika one of the biggest massive fire in Edo period.
according to the book, about 100,000 person burn to death in a massive fire.
And after that Edo was rebuilt according to a large-scale city plan, taking on the form that provides the basic layout of Tokyo today.
Sometimes walking around the Tokyo city, we find old Edo city allover the place.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the mokko style iron Tsuba, covered by syakudo and engraved Samurai on the Ji. Mogarashi Soten sei.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo plate, autumn leaves and insect mantis are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Red color with tiny shell.
Menuki : A dragon is engraved by copper plate.
Kozuka : On the syakudo nanako plate, shish dogs and peony flowers are engraved with gold color.
