Explanation: Fujiwara So tsutomu made this blade in February 1984.
And Nagasawa Kaname engraved the Ranma Sukashi.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Chikushu Ju Fujiwara So tsutomu belongs to Saijyo saki ranking.(the top ranking)
The blade was polished by one of the top polisher.
Blade length : 42.2 cm or 16.61 inches.
Sori : 0.4 cm or 0.15 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.45 cm or 1.35 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.96 cm or 1.16 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Gendai period.
Shape : The blade is wide Katakiri style with deep ranma sukasi engraving.
Jitetsu :Komolume had well grained with jinie attach and small chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and cyoji midair mixed with deep nioikuchi.
In Hamon, sunagashi and kinsuji scatter in Ha,
Special feature : So Tsutomu is a famous gendai swordsmith of Fukuoka pref in Kyushu.
He was born in 1927 and learned under So Masamitsu.
Tsutomu got many prizes at the annual sword making contests and was approved Mukansa-tosho.
He is very good at forging sword modeled on Kiyomaro or Sukehiro.
Tsutomu aimed at Sukehiro on this tanto and shows a complete work.
syowa 51, he got the prize of Doryokusyo, Syorei soy, Bunkacyo Cyokansyo,
Mainichi press company's prize. Kunzan soy prize, Yusyu syo prize,
chief of the Cultural Affairs Agency prize
And after that he became Mukansa sword maker at syowa 2nd.
This sword was made by So Tsutomu and engraved Ranma sukashi
by Kaname Nagasawa sodden bizen style.
So Tsutomu has his own factory for making Tamahagane
and made swords by using his own factory's tamahagane.
He is always thinking in order to make good swords need using good Tamahagane.
We hope this sword will be keeping for a long period 1000, 2000years of age.
