The blade was polished.
Blade length : 40.2cm or 15.8inches.
Sori : 0.9cm or 0.35inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.91cm or 1.15inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.56cm or 1.007inches.
Kasane : 0.58cm or 0.23inches.
Era : Edo period circa Kanbun. 17th century.
Shape : It is wide shinogi haba
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with rough jinie attached and chikei seen.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midare line with active sunagashi and kinsuji works.
Boushi is midarekomi style,and is turned backed in jizo style.

Special feature : Born around 1576 in Yamato province, Kunimichi the First learned under
Iga (No) Kami Kinmichi and Horikawa Kunihiro. It is thought that Kunimichi was designated
Dewa Daijo in 1614 to 1615. His oldest dated work was in 1608 and the latest work was 1662.
Most of his swords show fascinating hamon with strong Nie and Nioi.  
This sword is made by first generation Dewa Daijyo Fujiwara Kunimichi.
It has some hints from Soshuden Shizu style. It is excellent piece of work.
