Width at the hamachi :2.78 cm or 1.09inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.92cm or 0.76inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.28inches.
Era : Edo period. Kanei era.
Shape : The shape is regular and thick wakizashi.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
The chikei is delicate.
Hamon : Nie deki notare with gonome and togariba mixed. There is some feeling of
the wave on the hamon. It reminds of first generation Kanewaka.
Special feature : Kagehira is first generation Kanewaka and it resembles some characteristic of first generation kanewaka. This piece resemble the pattern of the wave and it has thickness. Despite the fact that it is kowakizashi, it is magnificent piece.
