This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 45.15 cm or 17.77 inches.
Sori : 1.35 cm or 0.53 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.14 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanei 16 Nen (1639)
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
This Jigane is typical beautiful Hizen blade which called Konuka-Hada.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare and cyoji midare mixed, deep Nioikuchi with many Ashi and Sunagashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi and Hakikake style.
special feature : Tadahiro the Second, born Heisakuro Hashimoto as a legitimate son of Tadayoshi the First.
Tadahiro was only19 years old when his father passed away in1632 but he was enough skillful to make sword at that time.
Tadahiro designated the Omi-Daijo in 1641, aged 29 and continued not only forging sword but also supervised many pupils until his death in 1693, aged 80.
He is known as a skillful swordsmith almost all works are above the standard hizen-to.
He had been made sword for a long period of time to leave the largest number of swords in the swordsmiths of Hizen school.
He was good at both of Suguha and Choji-midare Hamon.
Especially the beauty of jitetsu called konuka-hada is appreciated as the best among the hizen-to.
His swords are ranked at the Owaza-mono because of the sharpness.
Koshirae :
Saya : Black Ishime-Ji Saya.
Tsuba : On oval shape iron tsuba, Shiitake mushroom is engraved
Fuchikashira and Kojiri : On the Shakudo, person is engraved with gold color.
Menuki : Kenmaki dragon design engraved and inlaid with gold.
Kozuka : On the brass plate,the dragonfly and calabash are engraved with copper and Syakudo.
