Habaki: Copper single foiled habaki
Blade length : 53.0 cm or 20.86 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.88cm or 1.13 inches
Width at the Kissaki : 1.89 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.57 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun.
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking wakizashi.
The curve is deep and the kissaki is long ended. It is nice shape wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached, It is clear konuka hada.
Hamon : Nie ground with gunome midare with mixture of choji midare.
Nioiguchi is deep with some up and down in the ha.
The sunagashi and kinsuji work is very active.
Special feature : Dewa no kami Yukihiro Hizen koku Dewa Yukihiro is second son of
Hizen Hashimoto Yoshinobu. First he was called Kuroube and was the student of first generation Masahiro.
At Kanei 16th year at the age of 22, he has started forging sword. At Seiho 5th(1648) year Spring,
he has received the post of Dewa Daijyo. At Kenan 3rd year he has moved to Nagasaki
and has learned western iron. Later on he has received the name of Dewa no kami.
This piece is the best of his masterpieces. there are many ups and downs in the sword
and there are gorgeous choji midare. The activity work is absolutely stunning.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Brass plate, dragon is engraved with Shakudo color.
Fuchikashira : On the Shakudo, flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black color.
Menuki : On the Shakudo, Dokko is engraved.
