This sword belongs to Jyo jyo saku,ranking.
Sayagaki : Iga no Kami Kinmichi 2nd generation early work deki Yorosii
The blade was made by 2nd early stage sword and the blade is good quality. The length is 57,3cm Kanzan sayagaki.
The blade is polished by a good polisher.
Habaki : silver single habaki.
Blade length : 57,3 cm or 22,6 inches.
Sori : 1,21 cm or 0,47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3,04 cm or 1,19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2,19 cm or 0,86 inches.
Kasane : 0,67cm or 0,26 inches.
Era : Edo period Manji era.
Shape : This Wakizashi’s blade is almost as long as Katana. and regular size width and small sori and longer kissaki early Edo style.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with Masame hada mixed with jinie attach nice old feeling texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and notare mixed with thick nioikuchi asi, yo and Kinsuji. Boshi is hakikake style.
Special feature: 2nd generation Iga Kami Kinmichi called Mishina Kanbei got the title Iga Kami at Kanei 14th September. he passed away Enpo 8, Oct 31st.
The first generation was quite well known sword maker and made Sosyu style active hamon and 2nd generation Kinmichi helped his father and studied Father's technique.
This sword was made early stage of his work so the Jigane and Hamon is almost the same as first generation.
This sword is long wakizashi having quite well jigane and Hamon which remind us Sosyu Shizu.
Especially wavy temper line with thick nioikuchi is bright and marvelous.
