Wakizashi: Kaga-kami Fujiwara Kanetaka

Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae.

This sword belongs to Jyo ranking.

This blade is polished
Habaki: Gold foiled Shakudo single Habaki.
Blade length: 58.8 cm or 23.1 inches.
Sori: 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.11 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.36 cm or 0.93 inches.
Kasane: 0.77 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era: Edo period Shouo era. (1652~1654)
Shape: Width, thickness and length are very almost as Katana.
Jigane: Mixture of Koitamehada and small Mokumehada, Jinori attached. Straight Uturi appears on surface.
Hamon: Niedeki Suguha with many small Ashi working. Boshi turns Notare style.
Special feature: Kaga-kami Fujiwara Kanehira was active at Sanuki area during Kanei era and continued up to third generation.
Very beautiful Jigane is very similar like Rai school.
This O-wakizashi is very similar as Katana.

Saya: Black Roiro Saya.
Tsuba: Mokko shape Tsuba made from Shakudo. Peony flower engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Peony flower engraved with gold color on Shakodo plate.
Fuchi-kashira: Peony flower engraved with gold color on Shakodo plate.
