(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 34.8 cm or 13.7inches.
Sori : 0.5cm or 0.2inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi :2.85 cm or 1.12 inches.
Kasane : 0.53cm or 0.21inches.
Era :Late Muromachi period Eisho 10th Year (1568)
Shape : It is rather wide and thick with Bohi engraved at both sides.
There is some Sori on the end. It is Sunnobi Tanto.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
The hada pattern is well attached. It is beautiful jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki gunome midare.
Special feature : Kanefusa is a student of Kanetsune and father of Wakasa no Kami Ujifusa.
He worked actively during EIsho period(1558-1570) This work is the Signature of 3rd Generaiton Kanefusa.
Generally, Mino school works are roughly forged and there are some Kizu or flaw in some parts.
However, this sword does not show those style and it seems that the sword was stored in nice condition.
Kanefusa has succeeded until modern day from Edo period.
There are no Kizu or flaw. It is wornderful work. It is also rare to see back signature Eiroku 10th year MArch.
