Habaki:gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 51.9 cm or 20.43 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 1 is open, 1 is filled.
Width at the hamachi : 2.45cm or 0.96 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.55 cm or 0.61 inches.
Kasane : 0.5 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era :Early Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is about 2cm Machiokuri and regular size with deeo sori nice looking shape.
In moot side, double bo-hi and Bonji are engraved and revers side, Suken and bonji are engraved.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach and utsuri appear beautiful texture.
Hamon : Koniedeki sugiha base and kogunome midair with thick soft nioikuchi and ash, yo work.
Special feature : The founder of the Nobukuni started from Nanbokucyo period.
Nobukuni school continued to several generation.
This sword is belongs to 2nd generation. The blade is nice Jigane with utsuri and hamon.
The blade is Zokumyo Nobukuni Saemon Jyo Nobukuni which is very rear and precious.
It is very hard to look for such kind of sword.
Historical background: 1399 Ounin no Ran:
A feudal Daimyo Yoshihiro Oouchi against Muromachi shogun but defeated by Muromachi Syogun.
Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round shape syakudo nanako plate, the mimi is covered by syakudo plate.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo nanako plate, cherry broom and curtain are engraved with gold color.
We can remind gorgeous hanami meeting(even right now many Japanese enjoy cherry broom
watching, drinking sake and eat delicious food as same as ancient era)
Saya : black roar kizami saya.
Menuki : a shish is engraved by syakudo plate with gold color.
