The blade was polished.
Blade length : 36.0 cm or 14.17 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Kasane : 0.53 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : Rather wide shape with regular thickness.
It is tough looking sunnnobi tanto.
Bohi is engraved in both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu :Itame hada with mixture of mokume hada.
The jitetsu is well seen.
Hamon : Nie based gonome mix hamon.
Ashi and ha is very active with delicate mixture.
There are vivid sunagashi and kinsuji seen. The boshi is round ended.

Special feature : This piece is estimated as Hakushu Hiroga.
At first glance, it is resembles Soshu blade and the work inside the ha is flooding.
Hakushuu Hiroga is originally from Houki. Please enjoy viewing one of his excellent
nice deki gonome mix pieces. This piece reminds the Soushu Hiromasa piece.
