Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae(51th NBTHK Juyo paper)

This Mumei (Hatakeda Sanemori) belongs to Saijyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 51.8 cm or 20.39 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.69 cm or 1.05 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.61 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period.(1275-1277)
Shape : Osuriage Mumei, long wakizashi. Nice width and thickness.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mix with Jinie attach.
There are Masa Nagare, fine Chikei and Utsuri.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Choji Midare with Kawazuko Choji mix.
This is beautiful Hamon. It looks like Ichimonji.
Special feature : Bizen Hatakeda school lives in Hatakeda adjacent to Osafune.
The founder is Hatakeda Moriie. The Samemori and Mitusmori are famous swordsmith in this school.
Sanemori is son of Moriie. His blade was made around Kenji(1275-1277), Kouan(1278-1287) and Shou(1288-1292).
His style is Choji Midare with Kawazuko Choji. It looks like Ichimonji blade.
In Ha, there are long Kinsuji. The blade is very healthy.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba, wild goose is engraved with open work. Middle Edo period.
Fuchikashira : Iron with some design.
Saya : Black Ishimeji Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo, umbrella is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka : Shakudo Nanako, tiger and bamboo is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana : There is a signature"Seki Shu Ju Shomei".
