Wakizashi in Koshirae(Gurantee: NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Mumei (It could be Owari Seki)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 53.4cm or 21.02inches.
Sori : 1.3cm or 0.51inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.25cm or 1.28inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.23cm or 0.88inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.28inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : It is wide and thick long kissaki wakizashi. It is in nice shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Consisted in nie structure, it is gunome midare lines with
different level (ups and downs) in the hamon.

Special feature : It is muji style jigane the hamon is quite simple style.
This sword is wide (3.25cm) and thick nice shape piece with no kizu or flaw.
This sword could be suspected that it was worn by a high army official
when they left their family and gone to battle field.
He then returned safely and cherished the sword for long period of time.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with pattern drawn in gold.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanakoji style with tiger and bamboo design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
