Wakizashi in Koshirae

Signature : Mumei (Mino)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 54.0 cm or 21.25 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.94 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period, Kanbun era.(1661-1672)
Shape : The blade is Regular size Wakizashi with small sori and long kissaki
Jitetsu : Itame Hada, Hadatatsu, with Jinie attach.
The hada pattern is well seen.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Togari Gunome.
Boshi is Hakikake style.

Special feature : This Jigane is well seen.
And the Hamon is Togari Gunome Midare.
We guess that this blade is Mino school.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape, iron Tsuba with Kizami, arabesque pattern and dragon is engraved. Nanban Tsuba. Late Edo period.
Fuchikashira : Copper.
Saya : Black and red color.
Menuki : Copper, crane is engraved.
