This sword belongs to Jo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : Silver and gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 50cm or 19.7 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.72 cm or 1.07 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period Eisho era.
Shape : The blade is Nagamaki style Suriage and Machiokuro style with signature remaining.
Jigane : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach and Ohada appear, texture can be seen very well.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha and small Gunome Midare pattern continue 14 times. Shirake Utusuri appear on surface.
Special feature : Nio Kiyosa was active around Muromachi period Eisho era at Suo province (Yamaguchi prefecture)
Swordsmiths in Suo generally made Suguha Hamon which is unusual temper line very interesting work.

Saya: Aogai Chirashi Saya (tiny blue shell powder lacquered on wood)
Tsuba : Rim of the round iron Tsuba is carved rope design. Hawk and clouds are carved openwork. The word in Tsuba ‘Ten-Tsu’ is a word from Mengzi, meaning “heart and soul will reach to the air”.
Menuki : Persimmon tree carved on Shakudo plate.
Kojiri : ‘Chinese bellflower’ family crests are engraved on silver plate.
Fuchikashira : GuanYu and Zhang Fei from The Romance of Three Kingdoms are carved on Shibuichi plate with gold, silver and copper color.
Kozuka : Egg plants are carved on Shakudo Nanakoji plate with gold and silver color.
Kogatana : Signature mentioned as Yamashiro Daijyo Minamoto Tanehiro.
