Signature : Shinano Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi. (the 2nd generation)
Shinto : Cyujo saku ranking : Yamashiro province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jojo saku Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword Shinano Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi belongs to Jojo saku ranking.
The blade is polished by good polisher.
Habaki : Copper double Habaki with gold color.
Blade length : 46.0 cm or 18.1 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.91 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.2cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.81cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Edo perios Enpo era. (around 1673~1681)
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable curve and longer Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained with Jinie attach and small Chikei work nice blackish Jigane.
Hamon :Niedeki Suguha with Uchinoke, double Hamon and Ashi, Sunagashi work. Boshi is Togari hamon brush up (Hakikake) style.
Special feature : Takai Kinzaburo whom lived at lived Oosaka has inherited the name 'Nobuyoshi ' from the first generation and became the 2nd generation.
First he named himself Shinano Kami 'Fujiwara' Nobuyoshi and then became Shinano Kami 'Minamoto' Nobuyoshi.
He sometimes uses the signature 'Sanyo Jyu Shinano Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi' or 'Shinano Kami Minamoto Nobuyoshi'.
He was a stream old Mishina school.
This sword let us remind Yamato Tegai school which were known as beautiful Jigane and Hamon consist with Uchinoke, double Hamon and also Hakikake style brush up Boshi.
Koshirae :
Tsuba : Wild gees engraved openwork on round iron Sukashi Tsuba.
Fuchi-kashira : Fuchi : Bamboo leaves are engraved on Shakudo Nanakoji plate with gold color. Kashira: Horn.
Saya : Dragon are painted with blacl lacquer on black Isimeji Saya.
Menuki : Flying dragonfly engraved on Shakudo plate with gold color.
